July 24th: Get Together

Does just one key unlock both love and fear? Is the other person a threat, or are we the source of each other's completion? Perhaps it is actually at our command to let go of our skepticism--that everyday fearful stance of holding ourselves back--and extend our trembling hand toward one another in spite of our limitations, affirming each other in a kind of mutual ricochet of becoming present.

The coming convention and the election itself are in a certain sense about this kind of community declaration. Can we withstand all the limitations that are likely to arise on our own side within our candidates or among our factions or by the probable tumble of circumstance and intentionally hold together on the side of love? C'mon people now...
